MediaPlatform Ranks in Video Engine Quadrant in Wainhouse Research Annual Industry Report

Category Lists Companies Providing Most Comprehensive and Open Enterprise Video Communications Solutions

LOS ANGELES, CA – June 4, 2020 – MediaPlatform, the leading enterprise webcasting and video content management platform for the Global 2000, was recognized by industry analysts Wainhouse Research as one of the top companies providing enterprise video solutions to Global 2000 companies in its “State of the Market: Enterprise Streaming Solutions and Services – 2020” report, issued last week.

The report features the Wainhouse “Enterprise Streaming Technology Landscape” grid, which segments vendors into categories based on their completeness of vision and openness. Wainhouse stacks MediaPlatform in the Video Engine category of companies that provide the broadest array of video communications applications to enterprises and do so with an open approach that enables them to extend functionality through integration with third-party solutions.

In the report, Senior Analyst for Enterprise Video Steve Vonder Haar addresses growing demand for streaming video as one of the effects of the Covid-19 crisis: “As more workers have been forced – by quarantine circumstances – to use video more frequently … IT teams will face growing demand to supply their teams with video solutions solid enough to handle enterprise video on a large scale,” and that “the recent acceleration in the adoption of video collaboration services (such as Zoom) should be expected to stoke demand for streaming platforms, as well.”

The report forecasts that these and other market factors will fuel total market growth to $3.38 billion in 2024 from $2.5 billion this year.

“We thank Wainhouse for featuring MediaPlatform as a leader and are grateful to continue to be recognized by leading analysts for our history of delivering highly scalable and reliable live streaming video for mission-critical executive communications for what’s now an increasingly remote and disparate global workforce,” said Mike Newman, CEO of MediaPlatform.

The news closely follows last week’s announcement of MediaPlatform being recognized in three other global enterprise video industry research reports as a major player alongside Zoom, Microsoft and IBM and Cisco.
