MediaPlatform Names Eugene Kovnatsky as Chief Technology Officer

LA Tech Executive to Oversee Product Development and Innovation for Leading Enterprise Video Platform Provider

LOS ANGELES, CA—January 23, 2019 – MediaPlatform today announced the appointment of media software executive Eugene Kovnatsky to be its Chief Technology Officer, where he will lead the company’s product and platform development and drive innovation throughout the company’s live webcasting, video management, video delivery and analytics offerings.

Kovnatsky brings a record of technology-driven business growth to MediaPlatform. Most recently he served as CTO for LA-based Centerfield Media, where he drove technology vision and strategy, as well as product strategy, development and support, for business lines that generated in excess of $200 million in revenue. Kovnatsky also has served in technology leadership roles for NBC Universal, inMarket and Dex Media.

An industry expert in building and managing software development teams, Kovnatsky in 2018 was recognized for his leadership by the LA Business Journal and is a frequent speaker at events for the technology startup community.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Eugene to the team. With his proven development leadership and agile and cloud expertise, Eugene will continue MediaPlatform’s leadership in enterprise communications while bringing energy and a fresh perspective to key MediaPlatform initiatives, including our industry-leading video analytics platform,” said Mike Newman, CEO of MediaPlatform.

“MediaPlatform is a company enjoying exceptional momentum, in November being named by Gartner Research as a Magic Quadrant leader and a company on the cusp of unveiling a number of exciting new products and capabilities,” said Eugene Kovnatsky, CTO of MediaPlatform. “I look forward to working with MediaPlatform’s talented engineering team as we roll out next-generation capabilities and push the limits of what’s possible for enterprise video applications and intelligence,” Kovnatsky said.

More than 150 global multinational customers have adopted MediaPlatform’s purpose-driven business broadcasting solutions as a significant upgrade from ‘best effort’ desktop web conferencing or meeting solutions. MediaPlatform’s technology lets these companies deliver premium-quality content – securely – to tens of thousands of live viewers over the corporate network that viewers can watch regardless of device, OS, browser or network connection.
