MediaPlatform Announces Skype for Business Integration at Enterprise Connect Conference

Leading Enterprise YouTube Adds to Growing List of Integrations with Collaboration Solutions

ENTERPRISE CONNECT CONFERENCE – ORLANDO, FL – March 7, 2016 – MediaPlatform, Inc. (www.mediaplatform.com), the leading enterprise YouTube powering corporate communications, training and collaboration through on-demand video and live streaming, today announced an integration with Microsoft’s Skype for Business.

MediaPlatform Skype Sync allows Skype for Business users to seamlessly upload meetings, events and training sessions to MediaPlatform’s award-winning enterprise video solution. Once recordings are published to the secure and searchable repository, users can take full advantage of MediaPlatform functionality to add titles, descriptions, tags and transcripts, while gaining valuable access to detailed analytics reports. Skype for Business recordings can be organized by department channel, embedded in enterprise portals and shared with internal or external viewers.

With the announcement of Skype Sync, MediaPlatform further enables the management and delivery of video across the Microsoft ecosystem. Existing integrations with SharePoint, Office 365 and Yammer give organizations the ability to leverage live and on-demand streaming inside these corporate intranets to drive collaboration, boost employee engagement and improve business agility. MediaPlatform will release an integration with Skype Meeting Broadcast in Q4 2016 that will give companies using that technology the option of utilizing the product as a source for webcasting to audiences in excess of 10,000 concurrent viewers.

“With the release of our Skype for Business integration, MediaPlatform is excited to take the lead as the only enterprise video platform truly bridging the gap between web conferencing and videoconferencing,” said Jim McGovern, CEO MediaPlatform. “At MediaPlatform we are focused on providing organizations with a robust solution for managing corporate media assets created with any application, and this integration with Skype for Business further enhances that capability. Coming on the heels of our previously announced SmartBridge videoconferencing gateway, this latest addition to our product suite again displays how MediaPlatform is giving organizations of all sizes the ability to position video at the center of their communications and collaboration strategy.”

In addition to Skype for Business, MediaPlatform also offers integration with Cisco Webex. Now employees and executives utilizing two of the leading web conferencing tools can easily transition recordings that were once saved locally on individual hard drives or in personal accounts to a central location specifically designed for managing corporate media assets. By moving collaboration and training sessions out of disconnected silos and into an engaging online portal that is accessible by the global workforce, enterprises are able to realize improvements in knowledge sharing, productivity and more.

“Enterprises have long recognized that there is an untapped wealth of knowledge they have in web and video conferencing archives,” said Denis Khoo, CTO MediaPlatform. “This wealth of knowledge is typically isolated or hidden. With Skype Sync, MediaPlatform helps the enterprise unleash the full value of Skype for Business by making it seamless to centralize, manage, and discover their archival assets.”
