Between its clients and expert physician content presenters, Curry Rockefeller serves two demanding sets of stakeholders. When the company considered webcasting as a content delivery technology, it was an absolutely essential requirement that any tool they selected be reliable, easy to use and technically unobtrusive. The webcasting platform could not introduce complexity into Curry Rockefeller’s exacting content development process, and the webcasting vendor had to be able to offer extensive production support if needed. Curry Rockefeller wanted the option of having webcast events run on a turnkey basis as well as the ability to manage webcasts completely by themselves.

“The content we produce here has to be the best that the medical profession has to offer,” says Peter Ronick, VP of Digital Business at Curry Rockefeller. “And, our work is subject to extensive legal review due to compliance factors. We needed a webcasting solution that would fit seamlessly into a process that can be challenging to manage.”

Finally, audience members had to be able to access webcasts on a range of mobile devices. “The medical profession is going mobile in a big way,” says Ronick. “Physicians expect to be able to consume medical education content wherever they are on tablets and smart phones. Period.”
