Executive Team

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. McGovern is CEO of MediaPlatform. He was most recently CEO of itzbig, an interactive job board that used advanced semantic matching technology. Previously, he spent six years as CEO of Marketwire, during which time the newswire service grew fourfold, ultimately being sold to an international competitor seeking to enter the U.S. market. Earlier in his career, he held senior executive positions at Business.com and at Ticketmaster Online-Citysearch. Mr. McGovern began his career at IBM, where he held roles in sales and product marketing. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations from Stanford University and an MBA from INSEAD (L’Institute Européen d’Administraton des Affaires) in Fontainebleau, France.

Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Pulier is a founder and CTO of MediaPlatform and has spent the last ten years developing rich media webcasting software products. After studying physics at Harvard, Mr. Pulier worked in the Harvard Robotics Laboratory and the New York University Robotics Laboratory. He then served as the CTO of Radiant Enterprises, developing network control systems. He subsequently joined Boston University’s Cognitive and Neural Systems department, where he studied brain sciences with an emphasis on computational and mathematical brain modeling. He also was the General Manager for new products at Digital Evolution. For the past 8 years, Mr. Pulier has been managing software teams and developing new technologies in the streaming media industry leveraging his knowledge of neuroscience and brain processing. Greg holds a B.S. in Physics from Harvard University.

VP AND GENERAL MANAGER

Ms. Ysette Witteveen is Vice President and General Manager of Client Services, responsible for client success and support. Ms. Witteveen has more than 20 years experience of successfully leading business to business strategy, marketing and client services for accomplished companies in the technology, media and professional services industries. Most recently, Ms. Witteveen was entrepreneur in residence at Monitor Ventures where she worked with various technology companies. Ms. Witteveen has served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Target Media Networks, Director of Strategy at Razorfish, and Global Account Manager at Monitor Group. At the Monitor Group, she was responsible for consulting services and project delivery to Fortune 500 clients, building on her work as Principal Consultant with Price Waterhouse. Ms. Witteveen holds an MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA and a BBA from the University of Michigan.

VP PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Mr. Law leads all product development efforts for MediaPlatform. A two decade veteran in the software development field, Mr. Law has had a track record of innovation and technological breakthroughs. At Ralphs Grocery engineering, he created the computer program for the first ever FDA-approved computer controlled industrial oven. At Ralphs, he also programmed equipment that doubled the shelf life of bananas – an achievement that gained Mr. Law international acclaim among food preservation scientists. Mr. Law has held positions at such global corporations as Symantec, Sony, Yamaha and NBC/Universal. At IVT, Mr. Law was responsible for the development of the company’s PrimeTime solution and several pieces of the MediaPlatform solution. He attended UC Berkeley, and received a Computer Associates New Leader Scholarship.

VP FINANCE + ADMINISTRATION

Ms. Kendros is responsible for establishing and managing the company’s financial, human resources, legal and administrative functions. Ms. Kendros has over fifteen years of experience and has managed venture financings, complex operational challenges and numerous mergers and acquisitions. Most recently, Ms. Kendros was the Chief Administrative Officer at SOA Software, where she was responsible for finance, human resources and administration, including internal control procedures, forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis and presentation of financial statements. Previously, Ms. Kendros was Vice President of Human Resources at US Interactive where she was involved in all aspects of the growth of the company, a vital part of its successful NASDAQ IPO in 1999 and responsible for more than 600 employees in nine offices across the United States. Prior to US Interactive, Ms. Kendros was responsible for finance at its predecessor company, and held the position of Assistant Controller at Imagic, Inc. in Hollywood, California.

DIRECTOR OF SALES, WESTERN REGION

Mr. Harper leads all West Coast and Asia/Pacific sales activities for the MediaPlatform product line. Mr. Harper has over 20 years of technology sales, sales management, and partnership development experience in Silicon Valley. A Silicon Valley native, Mr. Harper has held senior sales positions at ShareData, Inc., E*TRADE Financial, Zantaz, Inc., and Merrill Lynch & Company. Most recently at E*TRADE Financial in the Corporate Services Group, he ran the sales efforts as a member of the Executive Team during a period of exponential growth. Mr. Harper earned a BA from the University of California, Berkeley.

DIRECTOR OF SALES, EASTERN REGION

Mr. Grant leads all sales activities for the MediaPlatform product line in the U.S. Eastern Region and the European Union. Mr. Grant has over 15 years of experience developing custom solutions for Fortune 1000 companies and small to medium-sized businesses. He has held senior sales positions at AmeriCorp, Graebel, and Merrill Lynch, where he achieved Eastern Sales Division Winners Circle status. Most recently, Mr. Grant held a strategic sales position with a major webcast services provider, during which he gained invaluable experience about webcasting production that he is able to share with users of MediaPlatform’s webcasting technology. Mr. Grant earned a BA from the College of New Jersey.

Director of Sales, Midwest Region

Mr. Wible leads all sales activities for the MediaPlatform product line in the Midwest Region. A veteran in the streaming industry, Mr. Wible has led sales efforts with broadcast.com and the subsequent Yahoo! Enterprise Services Group, after which he opened the Midwest sales office for Real’s Enterprise solutions group. In addition, Mr. Wible has held senior sales positions at Getty Images and most recently Microsoft. As a Senior Business Development Manager he pioneered the Microsoft’s Games Advertising business by bringing to market advanced rich media advertising solutions incorporating emerging platforms like Xbox Live, Zune and cross-network web properties. Mr. Wible is a graduate of Ball State University.

VP OF MARKETING

Mr. Taylor has fifteen years of experience in technology marketing, including such roles as Public Relations Manager for SharePoint Technologies at Microsoft and Social Software Evangelist at IBM. He served as VP of Marketing Communications at SOA software for five years. He is the recipient of the MarCom Platinum Award for his white paper writing. Taylor is the author of three books on enterprise software and business, as well as dozens of magazine articles and papers. At UC Berkeley, Mr. Taylor is on the faculty of Berkeley Law (Boalt) and the School of Information, where he teaches about the financial aspects of information technology. He earned his BA and MBA from Harvard.

General Partner

Mr. Wilkins joined SYNCOM in 1992. During the subsequent 17 years he held titles from analyst to partner. He has analyzed and invested in numerous portfolio companies. In addition, Mr. Wilkins has held operational positions in radio stations and cable television systems the firm has owned. He currently serves on the boards of Si TV Inc., TMX Communications, Inc., and Simplink, Inc. Prior to joining SYNCOM, Mr. Wilkins served as a sales professional for a commercial and residential real estate developer on a number of projects in Maryland and Washington D.C. He joined the Firm as an investment analyst moving to associate and serving in that position until leaving to attend graduate school. In 1997, he rejoined SYNCOM as a Senior Associate. He was named General Partner in 2006. Herb is a director on the Boards of SiTV Inc. and IVT Inc. Mr. Wilkins received a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Maryland and an M.B.A. from the F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College.

BARSHOP VENTURES

Bruce Barshop is President and a Director of San Antonio, Texas-based Barshop Ventures, LLC, a diversified venture capital investment and portfolio investment management firm. Barshop is also a Director of Barshop & Oles Company, Inc., a commercial real estate development and management company. Barshop Ventures has invested in a number of early-stage enterprises in media and telecommunications, life sciences and medical devices, and other fields. Before starting Barshop Ventures, Mr. Barshop was actively engaged in the practice of law and served as a Director and General Counsel of Laredo National Bancshares, Inc. and The Laredo National Bank, then Texas’ largest independent bank. Mr. Barshop formerly served as Chairman of the San Antonio Technology Accelerator Initiative (SATAI), and currently serves on its Executive Committee. He is Vice Chairman of the Technology Enterprise Committee on the Board of the Texas Research and Technology Foundation. Barshop is a member of the Princeton University Psychology Department Advisory Council, a member of the Advisory Council of the University of Texas at San Antonio College of Engineering, and is a member of the Board of the Institute of Texan Cultures. Barshop is a graduate of Princeton University and the University of Texas School of Law, and has studied at the London School of Economics.

Teymour Boutros-Ghali is co-founder and Managing Partner of Monitor Ventures. Mr. Boutros-Ghali brings over twenty years of experience as an entrepreneur, investor and management executive. He was a founder and CEO of several technology-driven start-ups including AllBusiness (sold to NBCi), Zowie Intertainment (sold to LEGO) and Thrive Online (sold to AOL). Mr.Boutros-Ghali spent ten years as a senior executive with Time Warner both in operations (as Publisher of Time International) and in investments (as Vice President of Time Inc Ventures). During his tenure, Time Inc. Ventures developed a number of successful media properties including the Martha Stewart Living and Vibe franchises. He started his business career at the Boston Consulting Group. As a partner of Monitor Ventures, Mr. Boutros-Ghali focuses on information technology with particular emphasis on media and technology driven products and services. Currently he is a Board Member of HydroPoint Data Systems and IVT both active Monitor Ventures’ investments. Mr. Boutros-Ghali graduated in Electrical Engineering from Cambridge University, and holds both a PhD in Physics and SM in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Mr. Pulier has been a pioneer in the software and digital interactive industries for over 15 years. In 1997, the Presidential Inaugural Committee selected Mr. Pulier to create and execute the Presidential Technology Exhibition in Washington D.C. Subsequently, the President and Vice President personally unveiled his company’s work for the Starbright Foundation, and Mr. Pulier became an advisor to the Vice President on National Health Care initiatives for the Family Reunion Conference. The most successful and best-known venture capital groups in the world have financed companies that Mr. Pulier has founded or co-founded. He has been instrumental in establishing ground-breaking technology companies in several sectors including media management (IVT), Professional Services (US Interactive), voice systems (VoiceTap), and peer-to-peer networking (Mediator). As Executive Chairman of SOA Software, Mr. Pulier devotes himself to a singular focus: the standards-based real-time enterprise. Recently named one of 30 e-Visionaries by VAR Business, Mr. Pulier is a popular public speaker at premier technology conferences around the globe. He is a member of the board of directors for the Center for Telecommunications Management in Los Angeles.
